Welcome to Ms. La's Fourth Grade Class! We are going to have an amazing year.

In the upcoming year together, we will create a growing, learning classroom community that will foster a love and respect for our world, ourselves, our stories, and our new knowledge. We will become independent problem solvers and develop skills that will help us be lifelong learners.

Here’s a sneak peek at some of the cool things we’ll be learning this year:

In Science: Rocks and Minerals, Magnets, Technology, and Animal Behaviors
In Math: Graphs, Grids, Geometry, and so much more!!
In Social Studies: North Carolina history- Think pirates, brave men and women fighting for their rights, and pioneers, both new and old.
In Literacy: Reading and writing marvelous, mind-rattling stories!

Parents, this blog is one way that we can keep in close communication this year as we work together for your student’s growth and education. I will write mini-updates and we will update together as a class. Our projects, our stories, and our voices will be accessible to you through this free site on the world wide web.
